vorotechhi here, at our company we are utilising zuul gating a lot, I'm trying to investigate the issue we faced when trying to execute bubble wrapped ansible modules (e.g. copy) against remote container (eks pod). fungitaking opendev's openstack tenant as an example, i would not be surprised if at times 90% of the builds occurring in the dependent gate pipeline are aborted due to the churn from gate resets near the front of very long dependent queues13:35
fungitraditionally we viewed those as not particularly valuable to track, since they don't complete and therefore have no real information to convey about the builds13:36
fungiat most, knowing how long they ran prior to aborting has been of interest in calculating aggregate resource utilization at a per-project or per-job level, but we've mined that out of scheduler logs for the most part when needed13:37
