ttxkrotscheck, paulsher1ood: on the timeline activity order... I think it will vary widely between stories. So far StoryBoard was deployed for small dev groups and those tend to have a low comment/change ratio in the timeline. Larger groups have a very high comment/change ratio, and following a discussion in reverse gives everyone headaches (since English is read from top to bottom)07:57
ttxExample: https://bugs.launchpad.net/neutron/+bug/137845007:58
ttxVulnerability stories like this require lots of coordination across groups and have lots of people involved, resulting in a high number of comments. Antichronological timelines make that very difficult to follow08:00
ttxBut if people continue to ask for it, I guess we should make that configurable.08:00
ttxAlternatively we could separate timeline/activity from the discussion/comments, but I think we would lose something08:02

* persia believes it to be 0:44 in that timezone08:44
paulsher1oodttx: noted. i'd like it to be configurable, because i guess i'm looking at different use-cases from you folks (but some of the same ones too)08:44
paulsher1oodso one of the attractions for me was/is that storyboard aims to cover both feature-requests/improvements and bugs/issues08:47
*** wdutch has joined #storyboard08:49
*** jtomasek has joined #storyboard08:49
paulsher1oodi'm interested in capturing feature-requests and ideas early - and this means having non-tech users (eg managers, designers, customers etc)08:49
paulsher1oodso that leads me to want to tweak the ui (eg short dates discussion from earlier)08:50
paulsher1oodbut if the general situation is 'the ui has to be this way because we need it to be this way' i'll need to rethink08:51

reedWin The Enterprise working group wants to use Storyboard to track their tasks, and those are not code-related08:57
persiaUX also has this issue.08:57
reedWTE also has multiple sub groups, tasks need to be assigned to such groups08:58
persiaIs there any chance that there is a means to track the WTE activities through commits?08:58
reedpersia, I really don't think so08:58
reedpersia, they track mostly things like 'write a blog post' or 'check the status of blueprint X' or something08:59
paulsher1oodthat kind of thing would be useful for us, too08:59
paulsher1oodbut some of our stuff would be even more ephemeral - work out a plan for how to get foo working on bar09:00
reedthey use this etherpad at the moment https://etherpad.openstack.org/p/Win-The-Enterprise09:00
* paulsher1ood dare not look09:00
reeddoes anyone have an ETA for 'tags' support in SB?09:01
persiapaulsher1ood: Said plan could be committed somewhere09:01
persiareed: tags is on the 1.2 feature list, but I don't believe any of the 1.2 features have time estimates yet.09:01
paulsher1oodpersia: yes. i'd be happiest with all stuff tracked in git tbh.09:01
reedpersia, trying to sync up here... Is storyboard currently in 1.1 or is 1.1 done and 1.2 is starting?09:03
* persia isnnot authoritative09:03
persiaMy understanding is that the last bits of 1.1 are actively underway, and 1.1.1 is not yet reached.09:04
reedk, thanks09:05
paulsher1oodpersia: but note that it's not just the plan, but the activities contributing to the plan, that we may care about09:05
persiareed: Indeed.  I think you've found a set of use cases that will cause me to give up on trying to restore the firm link to git repos.  The state of Storyboard at the summit was that there was not a firm link to git repos, so that should not be a blocker.09:06

reedsay a group wants to use Storyboard but doesn't need gerrit or git... how can they?15:22
CTtpollardreed: We are currently testing using an instance of storyboard with no direct git links15:57
reedCTtpollard, so if I submit a change to programs.yaml, will that be rejected or is it worth discussing?15:58

krotscheckOk, lemme respond in orde.r16:23
krotscheckTimeline order: I feel both solutions might be trying to address a specific edge case each, and it might be easier to step back and reframe the problem. (I have no comments other than that).16:25

krotscheckUsing a project without git - there’s a flag in projects.yaml that creates a project in storyboard without generating a project in gerrit. See the openstack ux project for how to do that.16:26
krotscheckTags support: That’s still on NikitaKonovalov’s plate, he’ll have to give you an estimate.16:27
krotscheckStoryBoard version: Roadmap is here: https://wiki.openstack.org/wiki/StoryBoard16:27
krotscheckWe’re on 1.216:27
krotscheckAll the other items in that list are in rough order of importance.16:28
krotscheckmbitard: Does your user name on launchpad have a weird character in it? We’ve got a known bug for that.16:29
mbitardnop, It's mbitard16:31
mbitardbut it contained accents16:32

krotscheckmbitard: Righto! Go to the wiki (https://wiki.openstack.org/wiki/StoryBoard), and click on the login button.
