@b.schanzel:matrix.orgHi there, a question regarding zuuls' usage of the mysql libraries, cf. https://opendev.org/zuul/zuul/src/branch/master/bindep.txt#L412:10
To this day, there are no arm64 binaries for mysql, which makes the installation of zuul a bit cumbersome on this arch (or at least when using the supplied bindep list). Would there be a reason not to replace the mysql-* packages with their mariadb-* counterparts?
@b.schanzel:matrix.org(or at least the debian bullseye repo does not ship mysql for arm64)12:15

These deps are only test deps (allows for testing with a real db). This is why they are annotated with `test` in the bindep file. It might be worth adding arm64 test jobs if people expect this to work these days.
Also, I have previously pushed a change to make this update but apparently it needs a rebase https://review.opendev.org/c/zuul/zuul/+/872226

@clarkb:matrix.orgb.schanzel: ^ rebased I think if we merge that it should fix your issues. We'd also love to hear more about how you are running Zuul on arm :)15:41
@clarkb:matrix.orgfungi and I are looking to update the zuul one pager and are looking for feedback. https://etherpad.opendev.org/p/zuul-one-pager-updates-april-2023 if you have time to take a look and leave your thoughts. In particular I think it would be good to update the git "url" there but sounds like there has been some question about that in the past.18:17
@fungicide:matrix.orgfor clarification, the pdf in question is linked as "Zuul Project Overview Brochure" from the main page of the zuul project website, and stacks of glossy print copies are often used as introductory materials at conference booths, et cetera19:54
@clarkb:matrix.orgThere is a link to it in the etherpad too20:23
@avass:matrix.vassast.orgThat pdf is pretty nice. Would love to see an updated version of it21:14
