@sarya009:matrix.org@fungi, the link- https://app.element.io/#/room%2F%23oftc_%23openstack-qa%3Amatrix.org.   is not working throwing the above error 10:43
Can you share the working channel?
@q:fricklercloud.demaybe this is helpful https://zuul-ci.org/docs/zuul/latest/howtos/matrix-irc.html , though I suggest to use a native IRC client like described in https://docs.openstack.org/contributors/common/irc.html10:59
@mubeenkhan:matrix.orgHave installed nodepool sevice on ubuntu 18.04, but the service does not run and remains in failed status11:59

Ubuntu 18.04 includes python 3.6 which is not supported by current nodepool. I would double check the service logs to see why it fails to start but that is my hunch.

The oftc bridge paths start with `#_oftc_` not `#oftc_`

@michael_kelly_anet:matrix.orgIs there any support in Zuul right now for working with the Gerrit kafka events plugin in lieu of leaning on the events log that can be scraped via SSH?19:30

Not that I am aware of.
@clarkb:matrix.org> <@clarkb:matrix.org> Not that I am aware of.20:14
It shouldn't be too difficult to add though. There is already an http implementation for the non event stuff so things can handle multiple connection methods
@michael_kelly_anet:matrix.orgKeen.  Might take a stab at this - trying to reduce our dependency on gerrit-ssh for other reasons.21:17
@jim:acmegating.comThere's a gerrit webhook plugin that's worth consideration21:23
@michael_kelly_anet:matrix.orgHmmm?22:36
@michael_kelly_anet:matrix.orgI'm referring to the gerrit kafka events plugin that's suggested to work with gerrit multi-site22:36
@jim:acmegating.comMichael Kelly: https://gerrit.googlesource.com/plugins/webhooks/22:37
@michael_kelly_anet:matrix.orgInteresting idea.  Not 100% sure if that makes sense in our case, since we're already using the kafka event stream internally for other things.22:38
@michael_kelly_anet:matrix.orgAnd as far as I'm aware, it's highly congruent with what gerrit is already emitting via SSH22:38
@michael_kelly_anet:matrix.orgAnd we're trying to angle towards multi-site anyway :)22:39
