@mhuin:matrix.orgfrom there, we could look into migrating to kubernetes-based deployments08:50

@mhuin:matrix.orghello zuul-maint, I believe there were talks about tagging a zuul release this week?14:03
@blaisepabon:matrix.orgyes, I'm only using centos7 because of sfconfig.14:03
This is a self-inflicted crisis. I stupidly committed to doing a demo this week because I had not anticipated the difficulty of getting ACME working.
@mhuin:matrix.orgBlaise Pabon: maybe you can reduce the scope of your proof of concept?14:05
@blaisepabon:matrix.orgYes, I think that is what I will have to do.14:08
If I can load the self-signed CA into the browsers, and it still works with Github auth (I already created the Github App secrets...)
Do you happen to know how to extract the relevant CA root certs?
@blaisepabon:matrix.org(the docs assume the web interface is working.)14:08

I suggest continuing this discussion on the #softwarefactory-project:matrix.org channel, but have you looked at /etc/pki/ on your deployment?

@blaisep-sureify:matrix.orgyes, it sure is. I like what they are trying to do, and I hope that it gets some traction in the fedora community (my home).15:40
@clarkb:matrix.orgДенис Мищенко: sorry its taken me a while to follow up on https://review.opendev.org/c/zuul/nodepool/+/842913 but I think the reviews there are just creating a cycle of confusion. The chagne as written is correct. manager.deleteImage() is always the two argument version even with state machine (if I am reading the code correctly). The two argument version then calls a driver specific single argument version internally which is what is creating teh confusion. I think we should proceed with that change as is. Then any possible refactoring should be done as a followup and separate train of thought15:47

@blaisep-sureify:matrix.orgSooo, assuming I am happily running the Tutorial in https://zuul-ci.org/docs/zuul/latest/tutorials/quick-start.html18:43
are there any examples of how folks have customized it?
I'm particularly interested in understanding what files I should us to control the TLS or Load Balancer settings.

i'm not personally aware of any, though there was talk of making a sort of "chapter 2" for the quick-start for things like "here's how you'd hook it up to github/gitlab/pagure..." or "scaling out" or similar activities
@fungicide:matrix.orgthough the basic idea is that once you're done with the quick-start you have a fully functioning (if tiny) zuul and can then do anything described in the documentation to augment it as you need21:40
@fungicide:matrix.orgin a broader sense, the opendev collaboratory deploys its zuul systems with ansible installing docker-compose files, and you can find the nodepool/zookeeper/zuul roles we use at https://opendev.org/opendev/system-config/src/branch/master/playbooks/roles21:46
@fungicide:matrix.orgthat's probably on the complex end of the examples spectrum though21:47

@blaisep-sureify:matrix.orgI know... I'm a stubborn SOB, so this time I did a new EC2 instance, yum update , installed 3.7, and there is no /etc/softwarefactory directory!23:09
sfconfig: command not found.
yum installed again. Nothing.

... is this weird ?
@blaisep-sureify:matrix.org... reboot. still nothing!!23:11
