@mnaser:matrix.orgjust curious/wondering if there is a reason this isn't getting a +W yet? :)03:19

-@gerrit:opendev.org- Zuul merged on behalf of Simon Westphahl: [zuul/zuul] 836322: Only try to revise unaccepted node requests https://review.opendev.org/c/zuul/zuul/+/83632205:57
@q:fricklercloud.deif I have a static node that shall only be used by a specific job, is there a way to achieve that? maybe restrict the list of node labels that may be used outside of config-projects? assuming that this is not yet implemented, would such a feature be considered useful?10:04
-@gerrit:opendev.org- Simon Westphahl proposed: [zuul/zuul] 837117: Update change deps on refresh after cache miss https://review.opendev.org/c/zuul/zuul/+/83711711:26
@clarkb:matrix.orgq: currently I think there aren't controls for that. You can limit what tenants have access to but not specific jobs iirc. It wouldn't surprise me if others could make use of that. tobiash may have thoughts13:03
@tobias.henkel:matrix.orgq: that's not possible on project/job level at the moment, but it is on tenant level if that helps13:19
@q:fricklercloud.dehmm, multiple tenants would imply multiple github apps I think, or can I share one app over multiple tenants? also related question, could I have one project getting tested in multiple tenants in parallel? does sound rather complicated, though13:49
@clarkb:matrix.orgq: multiple tenants can share a single app. There may be reasons to not do that (if individual foo and bar can't agree that coolzuul can merge their changes or something)13:50

I've approved them now
-@gerrit:opendev.org- Zuul merged on behalf of Mohammed Naser: [zuul/zuul-registry] 835772: tests: Add regression test for manifests https://review.opendev.org/c/zuul/zuul-registry/+/83577214:09

@mnaser:matrix.org> <@clarkb:matrix.org> I've approved them now14:28
yay thank you! i'm wondering if zuul-registry is just running :latest job or if it has releases
@clarkb:matrix.orgmnaser: I believe opendev runs latest and those updates happen ~hourly. We do also tag releases that act as a fallback if necessary14:30
@clarkb:matrix.orgwe should probably tag the previous commit to these as those have been running and happy for a bit14:30
@mnaser:matrix.orgyeah, makes sense as an easy fallback14:31
@jim:acmegating.comzuul-maint: zuul-registry tag?  commit 20f50e0ae77028681dba0c324d1c60e69a68bfa7 (tag: 1.2.0)14:49
@mnaser:matrix.orgugh, now running into some other issues with some call that's not implemented:15:04
```
POST /v2/barbican/blobs/uploads/?from=barbican-amd64&mount=sha256%3A0362a05871d1532ff62b8fcf719edc13884eb08b7624f1843bd98c4084ca1bdb HTTP/1.1
```
which is documented here:
https://docs.docker.com/registry/spec/api/ under "Cross Repository Blob Mount"
i'm just going to scrap all this and use podman at this point
@clarkb:matrix.orgcorvus: I'm going to approve the nodepool k8s api fixes after breakfast if no other objections come up15:06
@clarkb:matrix.orgI guess there were none so the "other" there is not really accurate15:06
@jim:acmegating.compushed zuul-registry 1.2.015:34
@mnaser:matrix.orgcorvus: do you think it's alright to modify /etc/hosts inside tests because of Helm being uncool about 'localhost' ? https://review.opendev.org/c/zuul/zuul-registry/+/83688516:54

@y2kenny:matrix.orgAre there any reason the buildset URL not being part of text report for a change? Would you guys be opened to a code change to add that (I am thinking of adding it after the success/failure-message?17:56
@clarkb:matrix.orgKenny Ho: I think for the github checks reporter that is all that is reported. So there is some precedent to reporting it where we don't already17:57
@y2kenny:matrix.orgok.  I think buildset url is not in the gerrit reporter17:57
@y2kenny:matrix.orgI will see if I can add that17:57
-@gerrit:opendev.org- Tristan Cacqueray proposed: [zuul/zuul] 837170: client: enables generating auth token for multiple tenant https://review.opendev.org/c/zuul/zuul/+/83717017:58

@blaisep-sureify:matrix.orgThis might not be the right board.... I'm considering a manage zuul-ci from VexxHost and their web console is a little flakey (as in generic error page when I https://secure.vexxhost.com/billing/store to request the service)18:07

it's not ;) but i think we got your request and it's making they way in our stuff

@mnaser:matrix.orgI need to build a bunch of wheels across two different architectures (natively).  If I have two jobs generating wheels on each arch (in different nodes), and then a job that depends on both their artifacts to merge those two wheels together.. does that make sense?  I'd wish to make this a nodeless job but I think I probably won't be able to due to restrictions21:40
@mnaser:matrix.org(the reason is that I need a single file with all wheels for both arches)21:40
@clarkb:matrix.orgmnaser: like a tarball with all the wheels in it?22:02
@clarkb:matrix.orgin that case then ya I think a child job that depends on both to complete and grabs the artifacts and appends them however appropriate makes sense22:02

yup… that’s what’s I’m thinking too
