fungiSpamapS: wow, that's fancy! i should have guessed there would be a javascript library to implement an ansi escape handling stack and insert the necessary html tags to achieve a similar rendering14:44
fungii've made some very hackish implementations in the past in other languages, but since ansi escapes are state changes rather than wrappers the conversion tends to require an awful lot of state tracking14:46

SpamapSfungi: Yeah, and the library does if you look.. but it's nice that you already have a stateful thing in react components. ;)17:41
SpamapSfungi: to be fair, I barely tested it, and not in the zuul UI itself.. so its possible it doesn't actually work. Was hoping to deploy it as a patch to our zuul soon.17:42
fungiyeah, tobiash commented that it doesn't seem to work yet17:43
SpamapSbummer. ;)17:43
SpamapSwould be nice if we had some browser testing in the gate for the web UI17:44
SpamapSah yeah I think I know what's going on17:45
SpamapSneed to drop the text node thing. The Ansi object already does that.17:46
dmsimardSpamapS: you mean like using selenium or something like that ?17:57
SpamapSdmsimard: yes18:25

mordredSpamapS: well - we do at least have preview - but yes, it would be nice to get live functional testing going19:09
SpamapSpreview?19:09
SpamapSI am trying to think of a quick way to spin up and test my ansi thing.19:10
SpamapSOther than just deploying it :-P19:10
pabelangerSpamapS: q: are you using nginx infront of zuul-web?19:11

corvusSpamapS: every change to zuul's javascript gets a test deployment.  click on the "zuul-build-dashboard" job link.19:51
corvusSpamapS: the test build for that change is at http://logs.openstack.org/17/626817/1/check/zuul-build-dashboard/8adcadf/npm/html/status19:51
corvusSpamapS: click any streaming link for any job there and you'll see the error tobiash mentioned19:52
corvusSpamapS: and if you want to do the same thing locally, there's instructions in the developer manual: https://zuul-ci.org/docs/zuul/developer/javascript.html19:53
tobiashYeah, that's the first thing I look at for web ui cjanges :)19:53
corvusSpamapS: so you can iterate locally on javascript changes against any running zuul api (openstack or goodmoney) -- you don't need to deploy all of zuul19:53
corvusSpamapS: see https://zuul-ci.org/docs/zuul/developer/javascript.html#development19:54

pabelangerAt one point, I think we talked about having the ability for zuul mergers clone via https (rather then git), am I remember that correctly?20:08

-openstackstatus- NOTICE: the gerrit service on review.openstack.org is being restarted to pick up new configuration changes, and will return momentarily22:58
SpamapSpabelanger: yes I have nginx in front of zuul-web.23:23
SpamapSand I'm missing some rules I think23:23
SpamapSbecause directly links to things don't work23:23
SpamapScorvus: oh neat! I didn't know that was there.. COOL23:24
pabelangerSpamapS: cool, I'd be interested in collaborating on a config, if interested. Starting testing it out locally myself23:53
tristanCSpamapS: would be nice if the proposed functional testing https://review.openstack.org/579039 got reviewed ;)23:53
