SotKbrucej[m]: that looks like a bug when using a fulltext query parameter on that page, thanks for finding it07:29

SotKthat looks like it might provide a way to do what brucej[m] wants, yeah10:18
fatema_a quick question, how long would running the tests py27, py36 locally take ?It takes hours on my pc10:29
*** dtantsur|afk is now known as dtantsur10:31
SotKwhen I used a VM it would take ages, but on my laptop I think last time I tried they took about 20 minutes10:31
SotKI tend to just send the patch and let zuul handle it rather than making my laptop busy for ages10:32
SotKiirc dhellmann added the sqlite tests to run locally instead of the really slow mysql ones to get around this10:33
fatema_hmmmm... so they run with sqlite now ?10:39
SotKnot by default, but `tox -e sqlite` will do it10:40
fatema_aha cool, I'll try it thank you SotK10:41

dhellmannmordred, fungi : if google is indexing content, is there anything else to be done?14:54
mordreddhellmann: oh, if they are indexing it, then no, I think we're fine14:54
dhellmannSotK , fatema_ : yes, that's why I added sqlite support. I couldn't get the in-memory support working, so it still creates files, but it's much much faster than mysql14:54
mordreddhellmann: that said -there are some general updates to how stuff gets built that we shoudl do anyway - and once we do there are some options open to use to improve the story14:55
dhellmannsounds good. I thought we didn't have search access at all14:55
dhellmannusing google's site-search does return content, though, so I'm happy enough for now14:56

clarkbfatema_: SotK one popular method is to run the test or test class around the code you are editing locally, have reasonable confidence it works then let zuul test the entire suite for unexpected regressions16:22
brucej[m]Question: Is the namespace for Tags in Storyboard global across all projects or specific to a given project?16:56

brucej[m]is there a way in the web UI to show Tags in the results e.g from a query like this: https://storyboard.openstack.org/#!/story/list?status=active&project_group_id=86&q=Bug17:28
*** jamesmcarthur has quit IRC17:33
persiabrucej[m]: I think that would require a displaty modification.  The information is available, but not shown.  Personally, I fear it may end up cluttered (but if not, it would be nice).17:44
