fricklerI just noticed something that might get optimized on future imports from launchpad: avoid creating tasks for ubuntu/+source subtree. at least that's what I'm guessing is how this has gotten two tasks: https://storyboard.openstack.org/#!/story/167539411:15

TheJuliaany offhand reason why storyboard might not let me crate a story when I'm an authenticated user?15:18
SotKTheJulia: https://storyboard.openstack.org/#!/story/2001850 springs to mind15:21
TheJuliaThat was it, thanks!15:23
SotKI really should get to fixing that15:26

fungifrickler: you can also delete tasks (or maybe that's an admin-only function?)20:01
fricklerfungi: haven't seen any obvious button for that20:02
fungifrickler: the little expansion triangle next to the task gives you the task actions20:02
fungidelete, change project, add to worklist, add notes20:03
fricklerI'm also not so much worried about that single task, but rather about what happens when we import large projects that may have lots of bugs with that20:03
fricklerbut yes, delete worked20:04
frickler"... with that situation"20:04
fungiagreed, i expect our lp api query matched both tasks at https://bugs.launchpad.net/python-openstackclient/+bug/167539420:04
openstackLaunchpad bug 1675394 in python-openstackclient (Ubuntu) "Unhelpful error message when neutron server is unavailable" [Undecided,Confirmed]20:04
fungithere was one for "python-openstackclient" and another for "python-openstackclient (Ubuntu)"20:05
frickleryes, the second one has https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/python-openstackclient/+bug/1675394 as URI, that's what I meant with th "ubuntu/+source" subtree20:07
openstackLaunchpad bug 1675394 in python-openstackclient (Ubuntu) "Unhelpful error message when neutron server is unavailable" [Undecided,Confirmed]20:07
fricklerand that happens a lot for everything ubuntu has packaged, which will be like everything we have20:09
fricklerI'm also wondering whether there should be comments added to the bugs that have been migrated, so users waiting for an answer on "their" issue may learn that they need to look somewhere else20:10

fungifrickler: it's been suggested in the past. i don't object to the idea but downsides include spamming hundreds of subscribers for potentially thousands of bugs, but also the lp api is already super slow just for read-only queries and frequently times out completely when attempting write operations (the odds increase significantly the more subscribers there are to a bug too because it seems to be blocking20:37
fungion its smtp notifier)20:37
persiaNotification is also complicated for bugs against things like "python-openstackclient (Ubuntu)", where the LP bug remains valid, although the upstream bug task should be redirected to Storyboard (I don't know if LP supports this)20:46
