jpichi all, I created an image like this openstack image create --container-format bare --disk-format qcow2 --file cirros-0.5.0-x86_64-disk.img --public cirros, and then a server with that image but it fails to find a bootable device, I have tried different cirros versions, tried with i386 too, but it still won't boot it, using kolla-ansible master, any idea please?11:24
jpicit turns out I had ram=1 in my flavor xD11:29
DK4would it be fine to deploy the openstack control plane on virtual machines or should you rather use dedicated machiones?19:19
grami[m]DK4: that's the magic of openstack you can be creative and deploy it any way that best suites your environment. Some people will bake kvm imgs pre installed with each openstack core app and deploy a control vm on a host. Or bake it into docker containers. It's all up to your knowledge and how you would like to support it going forward.19:25
DK4grami[m]: but there not really an argument that would prevent installing the openstack services on virtual machines?19:30
grami[m]No I run devstack inside an openstack instance. I also use juju charms to deploy openstack inside a openstack instance that's inside LXD containers for testing. Nothing stops you doing anything it's only if you start hitting performance problems you need to look at is it the kvm or docker Or kubernetes cluster. And if you want it to run on arm it can it's only limit is performance. 19:41
