ntpttr_hi everyone15:01
HuBianhi15:01
shuquanhi guys15:01
ntpttr_short on attendance a bit today it seems :)15:02
ntpttr_does anyone have any topics they'd like to go over today?15:02
HuBianhttps://review.openstack.org/#/c/441014/2/specs/ocata/approved/multi-podmanager-web-ui.rst15:03
HuBianthis is spec for the web ui of podmanager features15:03
HuBianpls help to review it ~15:04
ntpttr_HuBian: awesome, I'll read through that today and leave a vote/comments15:04
ntpttr_thank you15:04
HuBianhah ~ thank Andy , he made it ~15:04
HuBian:)15:04
ntpttr_thanks andy :)15:04
ntpttr_I also have a patch currently up for composing nodes using flavors if anyone has some time and would like to review https://review.openstack.org/#/c/433983/15:05
shuquansure. thanks nates :)15:05
JinxingSome patchs about valence client also need help to review, pls take some times to review it. thanks15:05
ntpttr_I think that the next thing that I'll be working on is a triple-o plugin for openstack deployment - there's a json file that needs to be set up with all the node nfo for provisioning that valence is well suited to fill in automatically15:06
ntpttr_Jinxing: will do15:06
ntpttr_I've got all the reviews for today open in tabs so I'll get to them all15:06
ntpttr_ramineni_: are you here? I'm curious about the non-redfish driver that you mentioned at the PTG :)15:07
HuBiantriple-o , cool ~15:07
shuquanwe do the similar thing in kolla. :)15:07
ntpttr_shuquan: nice, I'm definitely interested in kolla as well - tripleo is just a natural place to start because it does provisioning and deployment, and the redhat guys are working on adding redfish support15:08
ntpttr_I suppose if we were to add a kolla plugin as well we could start by adding a bifrost one15:08
shuquanwill we use sushy instead of python redfish in the future, right?15:08
ntpttr_shuquan: yes that's right - for now that's the one that's been chosen for the ironic driver library15:09
ntpttr_you can see some of that conversation on the spec review https://review.openstack.org/#/c/184653/15:09
shuquanthanks15:09
ntpttr_np15:09
ntpttr_any other topics? I was curious because at the PTG anusha mentioned wanting to add another southbound rack scale driver besides redfish, but it looks like she's not here at the moment15:11
shuquananyone else from valence will work on sushy?15:11
ntpttr_shuquan: so far lin has pushed up a patch to it to help it support composed nodes as well as redfish systems15:11
shuquani see15:12
shuquanany plan on 2.1 API support?15:12
ntpttr_yes, we're definitely planning on supporting the 2.1 API15:13
ntpttr_sorry I don't know much more than that right now, but we definitely want to add functionality to keep feature parity with the pod manager api15:14
shuquanis there a spec to track it?15:15
ntpttr_I don't think there is yet, no15:16
chesterkuothe current valence spec cover most of RSD 2.1 features if implemented15:17
chesterkuoWhich part are missing here?15:17
shuquanhow about the nvme support?15:17
ntpttr_chesterkuo: thats what I was going to say, nvme?15:17
shuquan:)15:18
chesterkuoa pooled resources15:18
ntpttr_yes, it would fall under pooled resources, but still would need to be added15:19
shuquanhow about the Thermal and networking API?15:20
ntpttr_we can have a discussion about adding those things - networking should be added for sure15:22
ntpttr_thermal can be added for monitoring as well15:23
shuquanagree15:23
chesterkuo@ntpttr, https://review.openstack.org/#/c/394672/ this can cover most of pooled storage case15:23
ntpttr_yes, that sounds good. We can extend that by adding types to cover nvme15:25
chesterkuoThe orig API not limit to any type of storage devices, yes, it can be other SAS, SATA as well15:26
ntpttr_sounds good15:26
ntpttr_and we can add a pooled_network API as well to cover all of those cases, right?15:27
chesterkuoNetworking should be next one we can start15:27
chesterkuoFor VLAN yes, but for others may need to check more15:28
ntpttr_okay15:28
ntpttr_anyone have anything they'd like to add before we break for the day?15:29
shuquanno from me15:29
ntpttr_okay, thanks everyone15:30
ntpttr_I'll hit those reviews that were mentioned earlier15:30
