fzzf[m] | gouthamr: ecsantos hi,After install openstack as cloud provider. what elements does ubuntu diskimage require. nodepool.yaml like https://paste.opendev.org/show/b8LZACz2U2Rl5lD8bEqE/ | 14:59 |
ecsantos[m] | fzzf: It really depends. diskimage-builder provides a lot of elements [1], you can take a look and see what could be useful for your image. As per the documentation, the most minimal image [2] would have only the ubuntu or ubuntu-minimal element, and also the vm element, or else you won't be able to boot into your image (it does... fzzf[m] | ecsantos: I want run manila CI job. I looked at some elements, I want use elements like vm ubuntu zuul-worker cloud-init-datasources, is there other elements need? | 15:13 |
ecsantos[m] | Oh, and also, there's a little gotcha: Software Factory version 3.6 (the current supported release) has "zuul-worker" hardcoded as the default user for images. OpenDev has the zuul-worker element [4] which creates the zuul user and sets up SSH key pairs. Software Factory has an equivalent element called zuul-worker-user, which does... (full message at https://matrix.org/_matrix/media/r0/download/matrix.org/aGesawCoBuCsiarHwySlfXmz) | 15:18 |
ecsantos[m] | fzzf: In that case, I'd recommend using the same elements as listed here: https://opendev.org/openstack/project-config/src/branch/master/nodepool/nodepool.yaml#L104-L110 | 15:19 |
ecsantos[m] | Plus your distro element, e.g., https://opendev.org/openstack/project-config/src/branch/master/nodepool/nodepool.yaml#L301-L303 | 15:20 |
ecsantos[m] | (cache-devstack will clone EVERY OpenDev repo to your image, to choose only the ones you want, set the DIB_CUSTOM_PROJECTS_LIST_URL variable) | 15:21 |
gouthamr | ecsantos[m]++ | 15:29 |
fzzf[m] | sorry, I don't know much about this, should I add these elements under config/nodepool/nodepool.yaml diskimage line like https://paste.opendev.org/show/b8LZACz2U2Rl5lD8bEqE/? and what value should DIB_CUSTOM_PROJECTS_LIST_URL be set | 15:29 |
