johnsomFYI for those in Octavia land doing failover.  Nova had a regression introduced 6/29 that broke moving the VIP interface.  You would get a traceback in nova.  I filed a bug and they are working on patches/scenario tests to catch it in the future.  bug is here: https://bugs.launchpad.net/nova/+bug/160235717:12

kevojohnsom: Hi, i'm running a devstack with the latest octavia. I'm testing out the failover. After stopping an amphora, the o-hm is detecting the stale amphora and removing it. However, it fails to create a new amphora. I get failed to build compute instance. And in n-cpu, it's showing VirtualInterfaceCreateException: Virtual Interface creation failed.
