digitalsimbojaGood morning all!05:51
digitalsimbojaI am hitting this issue now: https://paste.opendev.org/show/809941/05:52
digitalsimbojaSomehow keystone failed to start05:52
digitalsimbojamaceodo this is on the VM on remote server05:52
opendevreviewMerged openstack/kuryr-kubernetes master: Clean up extra spaces  https://review.opendev.org/c/openstack/kuryr-kubernetes/+/81105005:57
gryfdigitalsimboja, something must have been failed earlier - can't see it, since you have pasted only several lines. what's your env now?06:02
digitalsimbojastill Ubuntu 20.0406:03
gryfyou've mentioned "vm on remote server".06:04
digitalsimbojawhat I hit earlier is 'keystone failed to start'06:04
digitalsimbojayes Maysa provided my VM on a remote server, so I am trying to depeloy06:04
gryfcan you paste your localrc?06:05
digitalsimbojaa moment please06:06
digitalsimbojahttps://paste.opendev.org/show/809942/06:07
digitalsimbojaI see I did not include some setups06:08
digitalsimbojaI think this should work: https://paste.opendev.org/show/809409/06:08
gryfyou don't need most of those entries in your localrc. first of all, you may want to disable horizon (if you don't use web ui for accessing openstack) and cinder and swift (since they are not used). You don't need to specify ovn related things for the neutron, you do, however, want to specify ovn-octavia-provider.06:13
gryfwhy not simply start with localrc sample from kuryr devstack directory and modify it for your needs?06:14
digitalsimbojaI thought as much but wanted to use the conf I used initially, let me use the sample.local.conf then if I need something more I can add back06:17
gryfsounds reasonable.06:18
digitalsimbojaI am  using this now: https://github.com/openstack/kuryr-kubernetes/blob/master/devstack/local.conf.sample06:21
digitalsimbojaLet us see06:21
gryfok.06:32
digitalsimbojaI have hit an issue with docker: https://paste.opendev.org/show/809943/06:39
digitalsimbojaI tried what dulek advised above initially by running:06:39
digitalsimbojahttps://stackoverflow.com/questions/59752840/docker-socket-failed-with-result-service-start-limit-hit-after-protecting-doc06:40
gryfhm. I never needed to do this. taking fresh new vm (and remove python3-pyasn1-modules and python3-simplejson if they are there), clone the devstack, get the sample localrc, and simply stack.sh just works™ from me. every time.06:54
gryf*for me.06:54
digitalsimbojalet me try that then06:55
gryfif you have there leftovers from previous attempts, it may fail anyway.06:57
digitalsimbojaI will run sudo apt autoclean && sudo apt autoremove06:59
gryfnote, there is no guarantee, that all of the leftovers will gone after failed attempt.07:00
gryfthat's why crucial thing is to being able to rebuild vm if needed.07:02
