opendevreviewMichal Nasiadka proposed openstack/kolla-ansible master: Run ML2/OVS agents processes in separate containers  https://review.opendev.org/c/openstack/kolla-ansible/+/86478008:51
yusufgungor_hi folks, really there is no alternative than "Stop all OpenStack services which use RabbitMQ" to switch quorum queues? Stopping neutron l3 agents etc lead to network outage and it is not possible to do that on a production cluster 😥 08:51
frickleryusufgungor_: if you find a better solution, let us know08:58
mnasiadkafrickler: https://review.opendev.org/c/openstack/kolla-ansible/+/944411 - if we could merge that - it could probably help us in the mariadb jobs weird failures debugging09:14
yusufgungor_oh, @frickler i was not expecting this answer. Why we added a precheck to prevent usage of both quorum queues and transient-durable queues work together? (see om_enable_rabbitmq_quorum_queues is True but non-quorum queues have been found.)09:16
yusufgungor_do you considered to reconfigure services with quorum queues config and restart them one by one to let them create the required queues again? (we are using transient queues so recreate make them quorum queues)09:16
yusufgungor_If there exist shared queues and let us to stop that services, remove that queue and restart the required service manually to create that queue again. 09:16
yusufgungor_In this way, we do not have to stop ALL services together. At least we can find a way to replace all existing queues.09:16

fricklermnasiadka: looking, note that we agreed to set RP+2 on anything that needs to go in for this cycle09:25
opendevreviewVerification of a change to openstack/kolla-ansible master failed: Add nova-metadata to nova_services_require_policy_json  https://review.opendev.org/c/openstack/kolla-ansible/+/94495709:27
frickleryusufgungor_: I have no idea about the details of dealing with rabbitmq, left these to others so far. if you have something that works, can get implemented in ansible and submitted as a change, ideally together with a job that exercises the migration, I think that would be great09:27
mnasiadkafrickler: going through the list of needed things, don't worry :)09:28

yusufgungor_@frickler ok, if there is no other one to comment about it then we will try it, thanks09:40
