mauntyzxiiro, hi. I recently added some reviews to jenkins job builder related to multibranch job type. I have some more ideas, may we discuss them?12:44
zxiiromaunty: hey, I think I saw them. What did you need to discuss?13:12
mauntyI use multibranch with defaults type project, and job setup is only 1 part of project setup, also is needed to setup groovy script(jenkinsfile) in global jenkins file storage.13:26
mauntyI have a separate python script that just run a groovy script inside jenkins. And this groovy script ads files to storage.13:27
mauntyAnd approves them.13:27
mauntySo i dont need to make any manual moves. I would like to integrate this in jjb. But i really dont understand how to do this. Jjb architecture is troublesome  to do something else from generating xml...13:30
zxiiromaunty: Where is the groovy script stored? do you mean like managed files in Jenkins?13:36
openstackgerritMerged jjb/jenkins-job-builder master: Gerrit Trigger: update support to the latest plugin version  https://review.opendev.org/73116914:15
zxiiromaunty: It's not clear to me where you are storing your Jenkinsfiles however if you are managing things in Global Jenkins configuration. You can use another plugin called the "configuration as code" plugin which is capable of managing Global Jenkins settings.14:22
zxiirohttps://plugins.jenkins.io/configuration-as-code/14:22
zxiiroWe use JJB to manage job config, and JCasC to manage Jenkins Global config. Maybe this get's you pretty close to what you're looking for?14:22
zxiiroJCasC also supports managed files (from the Config File Provider plugin if that is what you are using to save your groovy scripts in).14:23
mauntyOh..15:41
mauntyОкей, i`ll take a look15:42
mauntythx15:42
mauntyYes this seams to be what i need. There is still a question with script approval, but i think this question should be solved already too.15:53
mauntyquestion cleared. Thx15:53
