iurygregorymorning TheJulia =)14:08
samuelkunkel[m]Good afternoon14:18
samuelkunkel[m]TheJulia:  tests looking good so far. But I only have one node. The second one gets repaired on Thursday...14:19
samuelkunkel[m]So I would love to repeat the tests on Friday again14:19
TheJuliasamuelkunkel[m]: sure, I'm taking Thursday/Friday of this week off, just let me know14:40
TheJuliaiurygregory or anyone else so redfish inclined, We're discussing https://review.opendev.org/c/openstack/sushy/+/880542/1/sushy/connector.py where it is a similar issue to the idrac where if we attempt to send a power state change command during POST, the machine kicks back an error. The idrac kicks back a 500 with an error which at least says "hey, I can't do this right now." where the ilo controllers kick back an error 14:46
TheJuliawith a 500. My *guess* is that the ilo developers expect you to be fully state aware and have decided that the issue is a bad request, when the request is not valid, it is the bmc just cannot do the needful at that moment. Anyhow, I've proposed a possible path forward, If you have opinions in this realm, please leave comments soon()14:46

rpittauTheJulia: I believe your approach is reasonable; janders since you have experience on various iLO bizarre behaviors, wdyt?14:59
NobodyCamGood Morning OpenStack Folks15:28

rpittauhey NobodyCam :)15:29
NobodyCamhey hey rpittau o/15:29
iurygregoryTheJulia, I'm ok with this fix15:36
TheJuliagood morning NobodyCam 16:10
rpittaugood night! o/16:11
sschmittAny way this ever gets merged? https://review.opendev.org/c/openstack/networking-generic-switch/+/69240416:15
sschmittOur network creation times are approaching like 12 seconds16:15
JayFThat patch is currently not valid to merge; it's failing tests and in merge conflict16:16
JayFthis looks like something I'd +2 if it was in a mergable state16:16
JayFmgoddard: ^ fyi I think sschmitt is talking about one of your patches16:16
sschmittI can take a shot at fixing it, but figured I'd ask since it seems like its been in that state for a while16:17
JayFIf it was in a better state, it certainly is more likely to land.16:26
JayFOnce it's in a good state, add the hashtag ironic-week-prio (top left corner, you may have to hit "show more" or similar)16:27
NobodyCamGood morning TheJulia 16:33
NobodyCamoh should I add that tag too16:34
NobodyCam;)16:34

TheJuliafun != ipv6 network issues flapping in your isp22:03
JayFat least your ISP does v6 :( 22:04
JayFalthough I guess they kinda aren't lol22:04
clarkbwhen I was on comcast I was super excited when I got proper ipv6 until I turned it off because they kept losing packets in the midwest somewhere22:11
JayFI went Xfinity -> Centurylink (formerly Qwest service area)... xfinity was pretty much equal opportunity packet loss regardless of protocol22:12
JayFCenturylink here doesn't even offer their 6RD tunnelling they do in other places; it's just v4 only unless you DIY a tunnel22:13
JayF(which I'll do eventually; but I want to ensure I understand how to prioritize v4 over v6 so my traffic is not majority-tunnelled)22:13
clarkbya my isp currently only offers ipv6 via static assignment on their 10Gbe plans.22:13
TheJuliayeah, charter appears to going "om nom nom" with v6 packets in the LA area right now22:16
TheJuliaintermitently at that22:17
* JayF notes that other than no-v6, centurylink has been great, and they ran fiber all the way into my office22:18
TheJuliaour old telephone ilec is centurylink here, but we just had fiber installed on the street my another company22:23
TheJuliawe also have a VZ 5G "cube" which actually works really well in our mobile command center22:23
TheJulia... and has v6 too....22:24
