thiagopHello people, quick question: I have some nodes on Ironic and these nodes have correspondent hypervisors on nova, but these hypervisors are showing without memory_mb=0 and vcpus=0 and so on. JoshNangso i found a race in cleaning, not sure the best way to close it. if cleaning takes any decent amount of time (>novas timeout), it fails because it can't remove the instance uuid, because this line: https://github.com/openstack/ironic/blob/master/ironic/api/controllers/v1/node.py#L101621:32
JayFWhy isn't CLEANING an UPDATE_ALLOWED_STATE ?21:33
JoshNangnow it does work if i add CLEANING to the update_allowed_states (nearly instant, yay!). jroll suggested we clean instance_uuid when we clear the instance_info in the conductor, but not sure we can get 3rd patch to land in nova before rc121:33
JoshNangJayF: i'm fine with it being one, but there's issues21:34
JoshNanglike, if you have a validate hardware clean step, and update a nodes properties before or after..you'd have different results. maybe others?21:34

JayFWhy not just remove it automatically as part of tear down?21:35
JayFJust trying to wrap my brain around the interactions21:36
JoshNangso as it stands, its 'set node to deleting, wait to hear that happened, then remove instance uuid'21:36
JayFwhy shouldn't it be "set node to deleting, poll to ensure instance_uuid is gone" ?21:37

TheJuliajroll: pondering, so this might be a newb quesiton, but are tests executed in a shared process/memory with no ordering control?23:14
JayFTheJulia: AIUI you should assume tests in the same test class share state23:14
JoshNangTheJulia: yup! basically23:14
TheJuliawow... that sucks23:15
