atmarkhello, would there be any issue if I deploy wallaby version of designate in a victoria deployment? My designate setup doesn't have any integration with nova and neutron. 18:14
frickleratmark: in general designate version should be pretty independent, even with neutron integration enabled. so if you have a containerized deployment or dedicated hosts, you should be fine, for co-installation with other services you'd need to watch out for library version conflicts18:19
atmarkI see. Is there any major schema changes in db between Victoria and Wallaby?18:28
fricklerI think you'd have to check that in the git log18:37
atmarkI ran `designate-manage database version` and I'm getting same result in Wallaby and Victoria 18:43
atmarkCurrent: 102 Latest: 10218:43
atmarkDoes that mean db didn't change?18:44
eanderssonatmark: Should be no changes https://github.com/openstack/designate/commits/stable/wallaby/designate/storage/impl_sqlalchemy/migrate_repo20:12
eanderssonI would probably recommend just going to Antelope or Zed20:13
eanderssonBut Wallaby should be an easy upgrade20:15
atmarkeandersson: I'll upgrade designate container to Wallaby since the patch fix ( remove existing NS from a zone ) I'm looking for is in that release afterwards downgrade back to Victoria 20:45
atmarkI guess downgrading designate shouldn't have any issue as well20:46
atmarkI can't upgrade all the way to Zed due to company policy 20:47
eanderssonIn theory downgrade should be fine, but just fyi never tested.20:56
atmarkgoing to give it a try21:08
atmarkthanks21:08
