timsimSimilar thing, but the way it gets it's information is by Zone Transfer (AXFR), rather than via RPC from Designate. So it looks to Designate like any other DNS server, but actually takes those actions and administers them to a real DNS server.20:37

timsimSo most backends will drop zones in a slave orientation. The Agent is more geared toward administering a master.20:39
