johnsomSo it looks like: https://github.com/openstack/devstack/commit/2e6677869925c86c01cae883b3dde6cccad81d30 broke five of the voting DIB jobs. They must be building on xenial????01:14
johnsomThe offending jobs are: dib-nodepool-functional-openstack-opensuse-15-src, dib-nodepool-functional-openstack-ubuntu-trusty-src, dib-nodepool-functional-openstack-ubuntu-xenial-src, dib-nodepool-functional-openstack-ubuntu-bionic, and dib-nodepool-functional-openstack-ubuntu-bionic-src01:15
johnsomThere are comments on all of these about why they are pinned to xenial in the job definitions. Should we make these non-voting or remove some of these?01:17
johnsomOr I guess we could just add FORCE=yes and kick the can01:18

ianwi think we'll have to drop suse testing03:47
ianwuntil we come up with some other way to build it03:48
ianwthe containers work might help03:48
ianwi'm pretty sure the new debootstrap is in bionic, so we can probably drop that bit03:50

lafonj88Hi, I apologize if this is not the right avenue for this type of question. Basically, I have run into a problem similar to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/diskimage-builder/+bug/1851516 . The problem is that grub.cfg is not in the right location (should be in /boot/efi/EFI/centos/grug.cfg) and when using different dib-elements to write it there16:12
openstackLaunchpad bug 1851516 in diskimage-builder "diskimage-builder perpared rhel7.6 uefi image uses wrong grub config" [Undecided,New]16:12
lafonj88produces a file that does not make it to the final image (I have confirmed it is written by ls'ing in my dib-elements). Is there a way to work around this? It feels like the boot partition get properly mounted but changes to it don't get written when producing the final image.16:12

ianw698136 looks like flaky tests, i don't think it's actually an issue with the xenial removal19:20
