brtknrhas anyone had any luck building fedora-atomic DIB_RELEASE=27 image using the latest DIB?14:07

erolghi all i try to run bifrost, an ansible playbook runs "disk-image-create -o /httpboot/deployment_image.qcow2 -t qcow2 debian vm enable-serial-console simple-init" and then got error "operating-system: already provided by ['debian']"14:53
clarkberolg: can you paste the logs to a paste service and share a link here?14:54
clarkbthat sounds like a conflict between elements but without the logs it will be hard to tell where14:54
erolgsure wait a sec14:54
prometheanfireclarkb: have a min to review the glean networkd thing?14:55
clarkbprometheanfire: no really :/ I'm at a conference and have to run to registration and meetings as soon as my first morning meeting is done14:55
erolgclarkb, http://paste.openstack.org/show/714188/14:55
clarkbprometheanfire: I may have time this afternoon and will try to tak ea look then14:55
erolgwhat does "os already provided by debian" mean ?14:58
greghayneserolg: elements have a file 'element-provides', we check that 1 and only 1 element has 'operating-system' in taht file14:58
greghayneswhats odd though is your log only has one element that should have that file 'debian'14:58
clarkbI'm currently updating dib source tree locally over slow phone tether so hopefully I'll be able to figure out which two conflict soon :)14:58
prometheanfireclarkb: thanks15:00
greghaynesclarkb: erolg its because debian depends on debian minimal :/15:01
erolggreghaynes, haha :)15:01
erolggreghaynes, thanks for clear answer.15:01
greghaynesI thought we had debian tests though so im a bit surprised15:02
clarkbgreghaynes: we only test minimal I bet15:02
clarkbso in this case debian should drop that provides and get it from minimal if the dep tree works that way15:02
greghaynesyep15:02
clarkberolg: in the interim you can likely get away with using just debian-minimal and adding any additional packages that you need15:03
clarkb(and before I disappear is anyone willing to write that patch or should I?)15:03
erolgclarkb, i think we need to inform bifrost team to update playbook, i will. Sorry i have enough exp about dib to contribute15:12
clarkberolg: no need to apologiez this is definitely a dib bug :)15:13

clarkbianw: ^ is a bug that was found earlier today too with a fix22:35
ianwclarkb: ahh, that would be because we now check if two elements provide the same thing i guess22:40
ianwi'm sure we've had this discussion before but what does debian do, if it relies on debian-minimal?22:41
clarkbI do not know22:41
ianwoh that's right, brings in cloud-init and stuff22:41
ianwit's weird, because "fedora" and "ubuntu" are actually based on upstream .iso's22:41
ianwbut "debian" just makes something that looks more like one22:41
clarkbI think becaues debian doesn't publish images like the other distros? at least not for cloud? (I could be wrong about that)22:42
ianwthere are images, at least now, who knows when this was all put in however22:44
