vishyon the filters thing03:24
vishyit isn't obvious to me if you can specify external filters03:24
vishycomstud: ^^03:24
comstudsorry03:27
comstudvishy: You can.. you can throw a new filter in the nova/scheduler/filters dir and then update the scheduler_allowed_filters flag03:27
comstudand also add it to the default filters03:27

comstud(there's supposed to be some method to select filters at some point.. but it's not used right now... which is why it needs added to the default list as well)03:28

vishylike you can with extensions?03:28
vishyseems like we should use the same semantics so it is less confusing03:28
comstudcan you, with extensions?03:28

vishyextensions you can use the standard extensions to load the standard ones03:29

vishyby having 18 ways of specifying things03:29
comstudthat's fair03:30

rmkGuessing it's probably hard to say off hand but any idea when the dash became incompatible with Diablo?03:41
rmkNothing instance specific seems to work now with the latest dash against diablo but that's to be expected.  I suspect that's the change from instance_id to _uuid but I haven't dug into it much.03:42
anotherjesse1rmk: latest dash uses a bunch of extensions03:43
anotherjesse1rmk: that didn't exist in diablo03:43
rmkAh, so just a matter of loading them into the api?03:43
anotherjesse1rmk: not sure if they will work against essex03:43
rmkHmm ok.  I would have expected new features to fail but operations like reboot don't work against diablo either.03:44

*** ayoung has quit IRC21:10
vishyhacking into import process?21:11
YorikSarWell, the current version is slow because we have to build AST for every file. But there is a lot of modules that are already imported, so we can modify import process so that we load file, build AST, cache AST, compile AST and proceed as usual for modules.21:14
YorikSarThere are so called import hooks that should serve this purpose.21:15
YorikSarBut I don't know if it is good do have import process modified during tests.21:16
