happyhemantHello folks, Why it's not possible to delete snapshot of reference volume ?. for e.g I have  base volume i have created snapshot from it and then from snapshot I have created volume and then I tried to delete the snapshot but it says `that snapshot has dependent volume`. Then I tried to create volume from snapshot create volume and deleted snapshot created volume and again tried to delete snapshot still it06:44

MrClayPole_Hi, we are currently have a Openstack rocky deployment that is using iSCSI iSER to connect to the storage. We currently have our 2 x ISCSI NICs in and active passive bond so don't require multipathd but I can see that this installed by default when using openstack ansible. Can we disable multipathd or is it requirement for cinder?09:44

MrClayPole_So its hard requirement. The reason I ask is we currently bond our iscsi NIC's so multipath isn't really doing anything. A few days ago we had a 5 mins outage and the journal log indicated that mutipath was at fault?11:08

So does this mean that it will only work on new snapshot, I mean i will only be able to delete newer snapshots ?11:40
xuanythe volume before you add the config, you can execute the flatten client in the ceph cluster: rbd flatten......11:43

sgautamCan any one help me to identify how to get the user id of the user doing the operation request in oslo policy file. I am trying to apply check for the backup delete. i can retrieve `%(project_id)` to get the project id. I tried to use `%(user_id)` to get the user id of the user who is making the request but i am getting the same id even when i am trying with different user. It seems this variable is for the13:05
