gokhanisiHello folks, I am planning to upgrade my 22.1.0 environment to bobcat. I will follow 22.1.0>victoria>wallaby>xena>yoga>zed>distribution upgrade(focal to jammy)>antelope>bobcat. I want to learn is there any known issues when upgrading. Is it possible to skip major releases for example upgrading from victoria to zed? thanks.  08:27
noonedeadpunkgokhanisi: you should be able to do Yoga -> Antelope directly just in case08:37
noonedeadpunkThat is what's supported and was tested in CI08:37
noonedeadpunkAnd then you will be able jump through SLURP releases, which would be from Antelope to Caracal08:38
noonedeadpunkbefore that - at your own risk. We did Victoria -> Xena upgrade for instance. Mostly sensetive part would be RPC versioning in nova08:39
noonedeadpunkBut it's more then doable08:39
gokhanisinoonedeadpunk, is it possible to run antelope on focal or after yoga I need to upgrade distribution ?   08:40
gokhanisithanks noonedeadpunk firsly I will try upgrage on my test environment. 08:43
noonedeadpunkyes, you can run 20.04 on antelope08:47
gokhanisiok thanks noonedeadpunk :) I will inform you  after upgrading. 08:55

noonedeadpunk++14:43
noonedeadpunkdon\t think it will be any different this year though hehe14:46
NeilHanlonhaha true, but we (rocky) will have a stand there at least 14:46
NeilHanlonand I hope this time my clothes will arrive with me, instead of 36 hours later14:46
noonedeadpunkhehe14:53
noonedeadpunkyeah, having a stand is sweet on fosdem14:54
spatelDid you ever design single VPC stretch between 2 region? 15:14
spatelI have 2 datacenter in same city with low latency and thinking to put them in single l2 network but ceph will be local for each region 15:15
NeilHanloni'd strongly recommend against stretching layer 215:35
NeilHanloneven in the same city, even with "low" latency15:35
NeilHanloncan't outrun light15:35
spatelcustomer want 3 location for HA 15:47
spatelI am with you +1 15:47
spatelor suggesting to build VPN tunnel between 3 region 15:48
spatelI was thinking what if I use AZ option and put bunch of computes in different DC location and keep control plane in single central place 15:49
