jrossergood morning07:24
jrossergrrr rocky9 repos look in not great shape recently07:24
deflatedhi all, curious if bobcat is going to support debian 12 (bookworm) when it's released? Can't find any info as to if it's going to10:12
damiandabrowskideflated: i think it's our goal. noonedeadpunk is planning to look into that, unfortunately his laptop died yesterday :D 10:24
damiandabrowskii hope he'll be back in a few days10:24
deflatedgood to hear (not the dead laptop obviously), i did some hacky file edits and it got so far so i imagine not too much needs doing. Any plan on getting the docs updated to reflect the change to is it ovn now? All examples still use linuxbridge which i know has been phased out10:26
damiandabrowskiyeah, it's also on the table. Some changes are already proposed so feel free to leave your review there ;)10:45

deflatedexcellent, just in the planning phases now so i'm sure i'll be back for advice in the coming weeks, thanks very much10:46
jrosserdeflated: i made a whole series of patches for debian-12 here https://review.opendev.org/q/topic:osa-bookworm10:52
jrossercurrently there is a bug in the version of OVS shipped with that OS which prevents it working10:52
jrosserusual caveats would be to make sure you can get versions of other things (specifically ceph) if you need them, from the repo you prefer to use for the OS you choose10:53
deflatedI assume the yaml examples will also be updated along side the docs as they also still point to linuxbridge10:54
deflatedour ceph is seperate so hopefully no issues there10:54
jrosserthe examples may / may not get updated for OVN11:08
jrosseras OSA supports linuxbridge / OVS / OVN currently11:08
jrosserthe best thing to do is deploy an all-in-one using your chosen networking backend and use that as reference11:08
jrosserthere is also extensive documentation in the os_neutron role for each network backend https://docs.openstack.org/openstack-ansible-os_neutron/latest/11:09
deflatedthanks for the answers, i'll be back after my holidays to get stuck into this, thanks again11:23

jrossertest coverage is pretty much zero though as we don't run any LXC jobs with octavia16:27
