strattaoHey jamesdenton, one thing that I've never been able to elegantly resolve is an issue we see periodically where neutron-openvswitch-agent status says "OVS is dead. OVSNeutronAgent will keep running and checking OVS status periodically". I can't figure out how to get things "working" again without killing neutron and restarting our network nodes. Do you know of a clean way to get OVS up and running again?14:33

strattaowe're still tracking down the root cause for why ovs dies in the first place (signs pointing to some config we have with ovs+dvr), but we've had a tough time finding a lesser disruptive method for getting OVS/neutron up and happy again than kill/clean/reboot.16:27
spatelstrattao logs should be good to see and find why ovs is dying. 2.9.x is really old ovs version. i would say running latest version sure solve lots of issue. in last few years ovs team really did good job to stabilized it. 16:45
spateli had some strange issue with ovs 2.13 but then i upgrade to 2.16 and my life is much better. 16:46
