erhudyanyone have luck with setting up a multi-node VM environment for testing OSA stuff? casting around to find out what people do now for testing, whether they go from AIO to hardware, hardware only, etc14:37
logan-erhudy: have a look at https://github.com/openstack/openstack-ansible-ops/tree/master/multi-node-aio14:37
erhudyon our existing deployment stuff we have a pretty big Vagrantfile that sets up multiple VMs with multiple interfaces and multiple block devices and all sorts of stuff, maybe i can adapt that for building a more realistic env14:37
logan-that stuff will take a host and break it up into multiple vms to create an OSA multi-node install on a single metal host14:39
erhudycool, maybe i can get it running at home14:40

logan-jproulx: re-running the lxc-hosts-setup role will regenerate the container template, you could try that. the template is stored in /var/cache/lxc on your controller hosts. you can extract it to verify it has the correct template deployed to /etc/network/interfaces, or you could just destroy and recreate some containers after the template is rebuilt16:50

NostawRmdumb question time. in regards to centos, if I'm not wanting the master branch, is there some benefit to getting openstack from git the way openstack-ansible does instead of from the repo?19:11
NostawRmif its detailed in the docs, I may have over looked it19:12

odyssey4meNostawRm you get patches when they merge, not several months down the line when packagers release... also, once a release is EOL, you can patch it yourself.19:14

logan-if you have proxy envvars set on the box you're running ansible on I think it will use them. I have not tried though19:42
erhudyah, i tried setting them on the ansible-playbook command but it defies me19:42
logan-pip_install_offline=yes makes it funnel the pip wheels thru your ansible host instead of fetching them directly to the target19:42
erhudyah, it still assumes the ansible host has unproxied internet access19:43

evrardjpso I don't have cgmanager-utils on a test instance20:08
