vijayagurugHi, I have set up openstack using Fuel 5.1 and added Murano to it. I am trying to deploy an example application 'Apache HTTPD' in a ubuntu server.12:57
vijayagurugI built the Ubuntu server Image using this wiki http://murano-api.readthedocs.org/en/latest/image_builders/linux.html .12:57
vijayagurugNow, the Heat stack is in 'complete' state, the instance got launched and it pulled agent.conf as part of cloud-init.12:58
vijayagurugBut 'Apache HTTPD' is not installed in the VM. I couldn't see any relevant error traces in murano engine side(/var/log/murano/murano.log) as well as the agent side(/var/log/murano-agent.log).12:58
vijayagurugCan you guys help me to debug it further?12:59

openstackgerritBrian Tully proposed a change to stackforge/murano-dashboard: Bootstrap 3 upgrade fixes for catalog index  https://review.openstack.org/11138016:06
slagunthis is worse than having incorrect table name. 'deploy' is just one of possible actions. What is called deployment now is a process of applying some action - send everything to engine and let it process it while environment remains locked. Having 2 tables means tracking 'deploy' action in one table and other actions in the second table. And then I need to do UNION between them to find latest "deployment" in dozen of places. This is a mess16:06
slagunthe problem with table renames is that SQLite cannot delete FK constraint, not that table itself cannot be renamed. I hate using FKs16:07

sjmc7^ ruhe and slagun. if we can later rename the table, all good16:13
sjmc7but i don't see much other option16:13
katyaferventbtully, sorry for my broken english :)16:13
btullyno worries, sorry for not being familiar with the process :)16:14
openstackgerritStan Lagun proposed a change to stackforge/murano: Unit tests for MuranoPL execution result serializer  https://review.openstack.org/10472116:14
openstackgerritDmitry Teselkin proposed a change to stackforge/murano-deployment: Fix murano-ci engine job  https://review.openstack.org/11203216:14
katyaferventbtully, yes, in needed by section16:14
btullyahh i see16:14
btullyok i was looking for a new patch set 916:14
ruhesjmc7: there is one more minor thing (should be really easy to address) for the code in DB layer16:15
slagunsjmc7: we can drop support for MySQL 5.5 :)16:15
sjmc7ok. on that note, ruhe, the unit tests passed :)16:15
sjmc7slagun - done! :)16:15
sjmc7is it mysql 5.5 that can't rename the FK constraints?16:15
slagunas far as i remember mysql 5.5 cannot rename columns that have FL pointed to. 5.6 can16:16
katyaferventbtully, let's wait for test results and keep our fingers crossed :)16:16
slagunthis is how it worked in patchet #116:16
btullyok i'll fetch and rebase with master now16:16
sjmc7we should ditch it all and just support postgres16:16
ruheslagun: devstack in the gate might run older versions of mysql16:17
*** openstackstatus has quit IRC16:17
*** openstack has joined #murano16:17
slagunruhe: that was the problem. It worked on my machine but failed on the gate because of mysql 5.516:17
sjmc7sadly not. we run one of the modified mysql builds.16:18
slagunI tested on PG16:19
slagunPG works better then mysql and SQLite combined :)16:20

openstackgerritBrian Tully proposed a change to stackforge/murano-dashboard: Bootstrap 3 upgrade fixes for catalog index  https://review.openstack.org/11138016:22
ruhei always liked postgres16:24
slagunOracle for the poor as one of my colleges said16:26
katyaferventbtully, you ruined the chain :)16:26
ruhedteselkin: you can self-approve https://review.openstack.org/#/c/112032/ unless you find a volunteer to approve it :)16:28
dteselkinWell, I thought it's a bad practice to approve code that you own yourself :)16:30
ruhefolks, please update https://wiki.openstack.org/wiki/Meetings/MuranoAgenda#Agenda if you have something to discuss today16:30
ruhedteselkin: yes, it's an awful practise. but we don't have much people who can confidently review your patch16:30
dteselkinOk16:31
btullykatyafervent: the chain?16:31
openstackgerritA change was merged to stackforge/murano-deployment: Fix murano-ci engine job  https://review.openstack.org/11203216:32
katyaferventchain of commits16:33
katyaferventbtully, they are no more connected16:34
btullyahh you told to me to rebase with master16:34
btullyshould i not have done that?16:35
katyaferventbtully, oops, by master I meant origin/master (sometimes I do that to prevent conflicts during git review) But your commit was successfully pushed to gerrit16:36
btullyright16:37
btullyafter I commited the merge/cherry pick and ran git review, you made a comment that i should also rebase from master16:37
btullyprobably just a miscommunication16:38
katyaferventyeah sorry16:38
btullyso i need to redo the cherry-pick?16:38
katyaferventthe best way to fix is to checkout from the previous patchset16:38
btullyk16:39
openstackgerritBrian Tully proposed a change to stackforge/murano-dashboard: Bootstrap 3 upgrade fixes for catalog index  https://review.openstack.org/11138016:41
btullykatyafervent: that looks like it resolved the dependency16:44
katyaferventwell, anyway, rebasing on master shouldn't lead to commit lost16:45
katyaferventyeah, let's wait for murano-ci16:46

ruhekatyafervent: did you update  https://blueprints.launchpad.net/murano/+spec/murano-api-exception-handling ?16:54
katyaferventruhe, yes, I add some strategy16:55
ruhekatyafervent: i still think it lacks sufficient detalization, like a list of specific exception classes you'd like to add16:56
sjmc7ruhe added something too16:58
katyaferventruhe, ok, I will try to extend the description17:00
